I’m looking for help with my websites and local SEO for my business. I’m in the furniture upholstery business and am currently working on the development of 3-different brands for segregated categories within the upholstery space.
As it stands now, my main brand is Rod’s Custom Workroom which is positioned as a typical furniture upholstery business which offers traditional reupholstery of furniture, cushions, custom made new furniture and general restoration and repair of upholstered furniture.
In an attempt to “niche down” to specific categories within the upholstery space, I’ve created two other brands. Scottsdale Patio Furniture which focuses on outdoor upholstery only, cushions and sling style chairs. And, Scottsdale Restaurant Booths which focuses on restaurant interior upholstery, booths and benches.
Ideally, my goal is to build up the two niche brands (Scottsdale Patio Furniture & Scottsdale Restaurant Booths) and eventually have them replace my main brand (Rod’s Custom Workroom) revenue stream.
However, I’m thinking there may be some efficiency (savings) in working on all three brands at the same time. I don’t have a problem with the work, content, etc. being duplicated, adjusting the images and keywords as applicable to each brand if it makes sense to do so. If it does not, then I would just focus on the two niche brands.
In addition, the sites are currently Weebly style. I have been told by an SEO person that it’s best to work with a WordPress style website because the SEO tools available to them are better. I would like your feedback on this and am open to any suggestions or to converting the sites if it is beneficial to the cause.
