Seeking a fun, responsive, reliable VA/OBM to support life coach business – Upwork

If you want to get paid to be bossy and a little bit of a control freak, this is the job for you. Nope, not joking!

I’m a life coach in search of an awesome VA/OBM. I have big ideas and am looking for a right hand person to help (read: make) me actually execute 🙂 I'm open to a VA or an OBM — I know different people define it differently, so happy to work with whatever works for you.

Here’s how you might know you’re a fit:

-You’re not afraid to follow up and push back — you’ll tell me when I could be doing something better, you’ll recommend tweaks to our workflow, and you’ll contact me and say, “You need to get this done.”
-You’re the one whose eye is instantly drawn to any typo.
-You say, “Ooooh, let me make a Google Doc for that” at least once a day.
-You’re always asking “How could this be done more efficiently?” and “What’s stopping this project or task from moving forward?” and then finding the answer.
-You’re ready and willing to present several solutions when you bring an issue to me. (If you don’t know something, you’ll always Google it before coming to me.)
-You want to show up to our video calls with a messy bun and a coffee in hand — I call myself the Cross Legged Coach, if that’s any indication of my work style 🙂

A bit more about me: I’m a Certified Life Coach and podcaster with a background in online business, as well as recruiting and customer success. I live in DC now, but am from North Carolina and was abroad (in Guatemala mostly!) for a few years before this. I love speaking Spanish, working out, travel, intuitive work, hours-long conversations with curious people, and logic puzzles.🤓

Job duties:
-Checking in with me at the beginning and end of the week about my priorities to hold me accountable
-Managing the main business inbox (with the ability to process emails within 24 hours of receipt during the workweek)
-Formatting, scheduling, and proof-reading emails in ConvertKit
-Updating podcast images in Canva for each new episode
-Uploading podcast episode show notes to WordPress for each new episode
-Managing podcast guests (sending prep doc, setting up Zencastr link, etc)
-Sending follow up emails as needed
-Managing + monitoring Trello as needed
-Turning Voxer voice notes into written emails
-Research as needed (event space, additional contractors, etc)
-Sending thank you gifts and handwritten notes to clients and podcast guests
-Adding items to online store
-Tracking expenses in Google spreadsheet
-Posting email content to blog (and using Yoast for SEO)
-Reaching out to potential podcast guests
-Completing other tasks as the business grows and always suggesting better, more efficient ways to do things

I’d love to start with just a few hours a week (pay is negotiable) and add as the business grows, so someone with flexibility to grow with the business would be great. I’m absolutely open to someone remote, but bonus points if you happen to be in the DC area!
