We have multiple affiliate websites. Each are armed with external affiliate links cloaked via "Pretty Links," a wordpress plugin, with destination to our merchants.
We'd like to begin tracking them, assign goals, and so forth.
Additionally, we'd like to establish a custom dashboard in Data Studio.
This includes pulling data from Google Search Console.
All our traffic is derived from SEO (organic), so that should be the emphasis of the dashboard, landing pages, exit pages, goals, etc.
We understand there are limitations in terms of how far we can track as the traffic ends once they leave our site (there is no pixel tracking at the merchant/offer end), but want to be as robust as possible in our reporting.
The objective here is to be able to create a custom dashboard here in GA or Data Studio to allow us to glance at it once or twice a month, check our KPI's/metrics to see how the sites are performing, and make educated decisions from there.
We want to know where the traffic came from, how long it stayed, where it browsed to, what keywords it searched for in Google to find us—everything in its path/funnel until it leaves us, especially if it left on an affiliate link.
Nothing too fancy, just a centralized hub of our data for easy digestion.
